Celigo vs. Boomi for Shopify Plus teams

Same category, different philosophies. A side-by-side from someone who has shipped both.

I've shipped production Shopify Plus stacks on both Celigo and Boomi. If you're picking between them in 2026, here's the short version.

The decision tree

Where each one actually wins

Celigo wins when

  • Your first 10 integrations are all eCommerce-native (Shopify ↔ NetSuite, Klaviyo, Amazon, 3PLs).
  • Your team is 1–3 people who'll touch integrations part-time.
  • You want templates you can ship in a week, not scaffolding you'll spend a quarter customizing.

Boomi wins when

  • You have a formal integration team (≥ 2 FTE).
  • You're connecting non-commerce systems: Salesforce, Workday, SAP, proprietary backends.
  • You care more about long-term extensibility than day-one velocity.

The question that actually decides it

Forget the feature matrices. Ask: who owns the integration 12 months after launch?

If the answer is "our eCom team," buy Celigo. They'll survive when Celigo updates a template because the abstraction level matches their mental model.

If the answer is "our integration team / SRE / data engineering," buy Boomi. They'll appreciate having primitives instead of templates.

Anything else is a premature optimization.
